That is very dangerous. The oxygen can cause the cigarette to ignite and cause burning to the face, neck and even insides of the nose and mouth.
I don’t think it’s very healthy, i’m certainly no expert, but it just doesn’t seem like it would you help you in any way.
No because if you’re on oxygen machine you already have something wrong with your lungs so adding smoking to that you just gonna hurt your lungs more so I would say not a wise idea to smoke and be on an oxygen machine.
Get her nicotine patches!!! That’s so dangerous she’s putting everyone’s lives at risk. I smoked for 20 years and quit in August two days from now is my 6 month mark of being a quitter:). If I can quit she can too. Please get her patches. Maybe show her YouTube videos of what happened while smokers using oxygen smoked and their consequences.
No. Not a good idea at all, dangerous Although oxygen is not flammable it is very conducive, intensifying any thing burning.
My heart goes out to both of you. It is a very nasty habit to break but it can be done. She needs to work with her Doctor. He/She may want to prescribe Chantix or Wellbutrin for her. They are both known to help people kick the addiction. It takes a lot of patience and several attempts before you reach success. Don’t give up. Just be there for her and tell her how much you love her and want her around for a long time. My best to both of you.
It is extremely dangerous to have an ignition source near an oxidizer (gaseous oxygen). If she burned the house down I’m not sure if the insurance company would pay a claim of any sort. She would probably die in any fire.
I’m pretty sure she has COPD and other than getting a lung transplant, there is no cure. Eventually she will not get enough oxygen to her brain as her lungs fail to function adequately.
She can extend her life by eliminating further damage to her lungs.
Oxygen and open flames are a dangerous mix. I have a cousin who got burned real bad from doing that. I hear they have a pill that makes people stop smoking. Maybe she can talk to a doctor.
Your mom’s acting difficult why is she doing more harm to her lungs? As being with this machine that is so young for her to have damage her health. The oxygen machine is to help her out maybe you need to let her doctor know what she’s going. Oh so dangerous usuage it may spark and turn into a fire and how are you ever to forgive yours knowing she continues to abuse the machine and health? Act as a responsible person and let her know she needs to stop right away. Having another adult speak to her, sounds like she isn’t capable of making good judgments alone.
You are in extreme danger of igniting and blowing up the house!!!!!!! Do not expose any spark or flames near that oxygen!!!!! Call the fire dept if you have any doubts, they will tell you exactly what I’m telling you, and the last thing you will have to worry about is a smoking habit!!!!!!
That’s a bad idea. First, oxygen is an oxidizer. Second, someone who is on oxygen has some sort of respiratory problem. Smoking would make the condition worse.
Absolutely not! That is extremely dangerous to the smoker and anyone around them/in the area. The oxygen tank(s) can explode and will result with some terrible burns and injuries. Have her try the nicotine patches to see if those help her any. Make sure you encourage her as she takes this journey to be smoke free:)
