Honestly, it could be any number of things. It could be a sign of something serious or just a cramp. You didn’t give enough detail for a legitimate answer, though. first of all, tell your parents or guardian. But, if it just started, id wait a while. After 24hours or so, maybe two days, if the pain has worsened or not improved at all, I’d consider going to a doctor or inquiring with someone who has legitimate medical expertise. Good luck and I hope it improves.

I had the same thing, I might be able to help you, do you sit alot maybe on computers or anything? (Any medications?) My stabbing back pains are gone by the way. sitting is a huge cause from pain like this, from having your back in just one position a big portion of the day.

Sounds like it is time to see your doctor.

How terrible is it? Is it intolerable?

I can’t know, but that’s what a kidney infection feels like. You need to get it diagnosed by a doctor right away.

See a chiropractor. They can adjust your spine without drugs or surgery.

That happens to me once in a while. It’s either because my back is out, or because I’ve been sitting too long and IDK why that would cause such stabbing pains but it does. It usually helps for me to do some physical activity (as crazy as that sounds, it does hurt very much at first but ends up helping the pain go away) but once my back was like that for over 2 weeks, so I went to see a doctor and she put it back in. If the pain lasts longer than a week then I would go to see a doctor. there are also a couple of stretches that may help you put it back, and you could search for videos of those.
