Why is marihuana illegal in most places, but there has been almost no recorded deaths from its use?

I can name 15 deaths that has instantly happened in 2 days from that plant since the legalization in Colorado. Granted it’s not the plant itself, it’s the way people abuse it. Yes, bringing suicide and murder rates down, but people are driving high and I have never seen a number of car crashes in one small town then I have in a while.
No the plant doesn’t hurt you, it just makes you STUPID happy. And causes you to do very dumb crap that does cause your death.
The plant can kill you, that “high” feeling you get is lack of oxygen to your brain. That plant instantly cuts off circulation to your brain causing brain damage and possible death. And the reason people turn into morons after they smoke it.

It’s illegal in some places cause children end up smoking it. For some odd reason teens are getting a hold of this plant and it’s sometimes laced and it has caused SO many issues and problems. It is legal again but there is a lot you need to go through just to obtain some. People are still using it illegally.

Something doesn’t have to cause death for it to be illegal.

Marijuana does not directly kill but keep in mind it is a drug and it is addictive even if it’s only psychological. Marijuana can impair driving skills, much like in the case of alcohol, and therefore cause accidents. Also, the government cannot make money off of it like they do tobacco and alcohol because it’s so easily grown.
There are a few other reasons as well but these seem to be the main ones 🙂

Probably for a lot of reasons but my reason is so that their will be less over doses cuz if there wasn’t the risk of going to jail then there would be more users meaning more OD’s

Maybe the drug itself doesn’t kill you, but the things it does to you definitely do.

It’s hard to overdose on pot but it’s possible. I met a kid who has so much in his system even after quitting completely he couldn’t find a job for 4 months because he would fail the piss tests. Doctor told him he has so much in his system that 90% of his body had it. If he would have smoked for another year as heavy as he was smoking it he would have died.

Because when overused, it causes serious mental issues. I’ve met couple of those people when I worked at a mental hospital and I would not want to be in their shoes.

Causes accidents at work on the road cause lack of prospering and working cause home theft identity theft and neglect of the family the children cause rape and lowers your awareness to protect your self from predators . Align friendships with unknown shifty people you really don’t know about. It is a precursor to other drugs.
