ok so i did a hardcore workout the other day and my legs and back are so sore. I cant even touch my toes it hurts so bad, and im expected to do splits and do handsprings and flips. this is a huge dance competition that i have been preparing for for months, and i cant afford to do a crappy job in my duet. how can i get rid of the sorness by tonight?

bathtub soak… Next workout you need a 5 minute stretch before you start and drink a little water often and lastly rest at 30 min intervals.

I danced for many hours a week as much as 20-30 hours a week at different times in life. You could try massage, heating pad on the sore muscle or Tylenol. Also ensure that you drink or eat enough calcium. When dancing often, I would get muscle cramps that results from calcium depletion which requires milk, yogurt or other calcium rich foods.

Take hot/cold Contrast Showers: These increase blood flow and help to shuttle inflammation out of muscle. Just take a 5 minute shower and alternate between hot and cold. If you can find someone to give you a good massage afterwards it helps a lot.
