Does wearing a bandaid make you look gross?

I gave myself a really bad cut on my thumb. Will people think I look like a slob, since only weirdos wear band aids?

Only weirdos wear bandaids? How about, people who don’t want a disgusting infection wear bandaids. Girl, I suggest you get our priorities in line. You can worry about looking ‘weird’ with a bandaid (worrying about how it looks is weird, to be honest) or you can cross your fingers and hope the wound doesn’t get infected.

Only weirdos wear bandaids!?… News to me. I think you’ll look gross if you don’t wear one. Don’t you understand the correlation between personal hygiene and infection control?

No it doesn’t, unless you’re working in an area where people are very particular about it. If I’m at work stocking the water aisle and someone sees a band aid on me they might get a little weird about whether any of the water I’m putting up has my blood on it. If you’re really concerned, just wear a pair of gloves.

If you need to cover the wound, not wearing one is gross.

Even when I worked as a waitress I wore a bandaid when I had a cut. It’s about safety for your injuries and hygiene for others Nobody wants your blood on them

If your cut is big and open, not wearing a band-aid would gross and grab people’s quick attention. People could also say you aren’t covering up your cut because you are looking for sympathy and/or attention. Personally not wearing a band-aid has never been a thought for me. People who want nasty looking scars and infections in their wounds use band-aids! Not weirdos!! Because if they wear band-aids then they aren’t wiedos anymore…

Where did you get the idea that “weirdos” wear band aids? People who want their wounds to heal and not get infected wear band aids. If someone looks at you weirdly, condescendingly, or in any way based on the fact that you have a bandage, ignore them. Physical health comes first.

So be it. Guess a green pale looking thumb be cooler looking then wearing a bandaid. Makes sense to me NOT!!! Yeah band aids are society’s slob maker. Lol. It’s not gross. Everyone has accidents sometimes. Band aids help you heal and not get an infection.

No, I don’t think so. it is better than leaving your wound uncovered and open to bacteria and infection.
