How bad is it to smoke around 10-15 cigarettes a day?

I’ve been addicted a year now and I’m up to the point I’m smoking that many. I know it’s bad. but how bad exactly is it?

Pretty bad. Soon you’ll move to a pack. It can hurt the heart and lungs. Also people around you. Try stopping now. Even if it’s tapering down.
Trust me it’s hard to quit. I quit in August after 20 years of smoking. Had to got smacked with heart failure and kidney failure in one day. Good luck

bad! because if you have any and I mean any addictive qualities, in your life now, I promise you, you will be smoking a pack a day before you reach your next birthday. Its like any other drug. You will crave more make excuses for a pack a day. so on and so on. unless you are a robot and have no other vices and think you have control to limit your smoking, why bother, its not cool anymore. its stupid.

If you would have said 1 or 2 cigarettes per day I would say probably not too bad, no worse then the air in L.A. or Chicago but you said 10 to 15 per day. That’s 1/2 to 3/4 a pack a day. Not good! I started smoking at 12yrs.old. 2 or 3 smokes per day, by 16yrs.old a pack a day. Yes I was still quite the athlete through high school and college but I was also so addicted that it didn’t take too many night clubs to get me to 3 packs a day. That’s how it works! By my 50s I was up to 4pks.per day. I got out of breath just getting out of bed and I was spending $25 a day-$175 a week to get in that condition. What a FOOL!
It will be difficult for you to quit but it will never be easier then it will be now. The longer you smoke the harder it becomes. Enjoy your life and bank account. Quit now Buddy!

It will be easier to quit now than when you are a two pack a day smoker with COPD. Quit now and get the jump on it.

I’ve been smoking about 40 yrs,AND IT’S SLOWLY KILLING ME! If I had any common sense,I would put the gun in my mouth and kill myself in one shot! Smoking has cost me a fortune, cost my my health,is effecting my family’s health,I could go on about what it’s cost me,what’s it going to cost you? If you only knew how fast the next 25 yrs of your life was going to fly by,smoking is a way of commuting suicide, but real slow!Have I made my point yet? STOP NOW,or it will stop you! Do yourself a favor, die from old age! Or anytin else, smoking is not the way to go! My old drinking buddy from yrs back just found out he has full blown lung cancer, and 4 tumors on the brain, from…. U guessed it,smoking! But it’s your choice,QUIT,or die a very painful, miserable, drawn out ,horrible and completely preventable death! Trust me,it will kill you,not today, not next yr,might take 40-50 yrs,but u still be dead! have u ever had the chance to save a life, but stood there, and not tried? I’m trying to save your life!
